Biography:
Chaunece Reed is a second year master’s student in English at Penn State. She joined the Center for Black Digital Research as a #DigBlk scholar with the Colored Conventions Project in 2024 after co-managing social media for Black Women’s Organizing Archive in spring 2024. Her research interests surround Black women’s relationships — communal, platonic, intimate and familial — and their effect on Black women’s healing, survival and adaptability. Her research focuses on and utilizes 20th and 21st century African American literature.
