Kenneth Avery, Jr. joined the Center of Black Digital Research as a CBDR Satellite Researcher in 2023. He is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Communication and Film at the University of Memphis. His research interests orbit around African American rhetoric, digital rhetoric, Afrocentric frameworks, pessimistic prophecies, and antiblack colorism.
