Biography:
Nakisha Whittington is a PhD candidate in Curriculum and Instruction at The Pennsylvania State University. She serves as a graduate assistant and curriculum design co-chair with the Center for Black Digital Research. Nakisha is a seasoned educator with experiences in K-12 classrooms, as well as instructing undergraduate students in the Elementary Education teaching program, serving as a reading specialist, and editorial assistant for an educational research journal. Nakisha’s research interests are centered around digital literacy practices of urban youth.
