Biography:
Yolanda Mackey is a PhD Student in the English and African American and Diaspora Studies Dual Title Program at Penn State University. She currently serves as the program coordinator for the Black Women’s Organizing Archive (BWOA) and a project coordinator for the Cooper-DuBois Mentoring Program. Her research focuses on early twentieth-century African American literature and explores collective identity formation, and the impact social movements have on that effort.
